    对于长期听欧美音乐的朋友来说，Lionel Richie是个相当熟悉的名字，至少他的Say You Say Me与Hello一定都听过。和Dina Ross的那首Duet- Endless love更是堪称经典。今天发的这首HOW LONG选自他的专辑《RENAISSANCE》，歌曲嗓音极具有磁性，富有感情，非常真挚，特别是几句连续的"how long--" 使得情感一直在脑海回旋。。。

歌手介绍：  
Lionel Richie的音乐历程从70年代Motown唱片最具影响力团体The Commodores开始，1971年时，由William King、Thomas McClary、Ronald LaPread、Walter "Clyde" orange、Lionel Richie以及Milan Williams所组成的The Commodores，跟着Jackson 5巡回演唱2年半，1974年发行首张专辑《Machine Gun》，首支同名单曲立刻便进入了Billboard top 10，之后这个以Lionel Richie为主唱的放克／灵魂乐团，在70年代发行了8张录音室专辑，直到82年Lionel Richie离团单飞为止，拥有Three Times A Lady、Easy、Still这些畅销单曲。

1981年，Lionel Richie与Diana Ross灌录的Endless Love登上9周单曲榜冠军，隔年他便离开了The Commodores发行个人专辑《Lionel Richie》，创造往后5年的全盛时期，从1982年至1987年，总共发行了《Lionel Richie》、《Can't Slow Down》跟《Dancing On the Ceil》3张专辑，拿下13首top 10单曲，其中并有5首是冠军单曲，Lionel成为80年代唯一可以与Michael Jackson相媲美的创作男歌手，并且也与Irving Berlin同列史上连续9年都有歌曲登上排行冠军的词曲创作者。Lionel Richie的歌曲，从The Commodores的黑人R&B，转偏向为成人抒情，以他极具磁性的嗓音深情演唱，成为当时情歌的代表，不仅在美国，全世界许多国家，包括台湾在内，年轻人们以他的歌曲向情人传递心意，而一些轻快活泼的舞曲也成为当时舞会上的热门播放。
